The next possible opponent for Brett "The Grim" Rogers is?

The next possible opponent for Brett Rogers is? Using the rankings from Zewkey.com, we have the top 25 heavyweights. We have to take out the UFC fighters because he hasn't signed with the UFC......yet or ever. Brett Rogers is currently ranked 11th. Four opponents rank above him:

1. Fedor
3. Josh Barnett
5. Alistair Overeem
9. Aleks Emelianenko

The rumor going around was Rogers vs Overeem at Strikeforce's August 15th card. Unfortunately, for Rogers but fortunately for fight fans, Overeem is fighting and he is set to take on Fabricio Werdum. Based on Overeem's current fight schedule with Strikeforce, he is scheduled to fight next for Strikeforce in 2011. Overeem's last fight for Strikeforce was in 2007. I'm kidding of course.

I don't think Brett Rogers at this time if ever could beat Fedor and for the time being - Josh Barnett. This leaves Overeem but if the fight didn't happen at the August 15th card, one wonders if the fight will happen ever. This is leaving the other Emelianenko, Aleks. Their is countless rumors going around about him.

The only opponent left to fight that is ranked above Andrei Arlovski, who was defeated rather quickly by Rogers is Antonio Silvia.

On July 26, 2008 Silva won the EliteXC Heavyweight title with a second round TKO over late UFC veteran Justin Eilers. Silva later tested positive after the fight with Eilers for the anabolic steroid Boldenone, was suspended for 1 year, and fined $2500.00 by the California State Athletic Commission. Silva could be available to fight in August.

The perfect opponent for Brett Rogers for the August 15th card: Antonio Silva at least for the time being.

Sign this fight, Antonio Silva vs Brett Rogers.

Other nice matchups would be Brett Rogers vs
Paul Buentello
Tim Sylvia
Fabricio Werdum (scheduled to fight Overeem at the August 15th card)
